Moving to a healthy future

This after school program uses dance to promote healthy living.  Each class introduces the students to new forms of dancing as well as allows the group to work together on a performance piece.  In addition to healthy living through being active, this class focuses on healthy eating.  Each week of class the instructors bring in snacks that are a nutritious replacement for sugary foods. During snack time the class talks about the importance of healthy living and the impact on individuals as well as a community.

This program can work with any age group and offers a fun introduction to dance as well as early exposure to what living a healthy lifestyle looks like.
